Zubrohlava attractions
Bike station - rest and relaxation zone
A place where we can just sit and enjoy the beauty of nature. It is an area known for many collective and private events that are organized here several times a year. Public events held here almost always gather several hundred participants. In the bike station there is a well that we built to provide constant access to water where it is not possible to obtain it from other, very distant sources. It is a place whose unique location can attract hundreds of tourists and visitors.
The observation tower
The observation tower is located on the route of the cycling trail running through Zubrohlava. It is 0.7 km from the village. You can see the panorama of the Orava Dam, the Western Tatras, the Orava Beskids, the surrounding towns and the statue of Christ located above the village of Klin. The tower with a shed is 9.4 m high, 5.5 m wide and 13.5 m long. It was built of spruce wood. The property is located in the village called Kmet’ovka, which belongs to the administrative borders of Zubrohlava. The municipality of Zubrohlava completed this investment in 2018.
TJ SOKOL Zubrohlava
This sports facility was opened in 2005 and was built at its own expense from the contributions of sponsors, the city and the municipality. It is one of the best pitches in Orava, admired by clubs outside Orava. The fence, gates, benches and the main stand are also admirable. The adult matches played on this pitch are watched by about 500 fans, not only locals, but also from surrounding municipalities. We wanted the fans to have the comfort of watching youth matches, during which fans and a large number of parents are present. Every year we have four regular youth teams and an adult team registered.
Multifunctional playground
The aim of the multifunctional pitch is to motivate the young generation to actively spend their free time outdoors. On the pitch you can conduct sports activities for a wide group of residents. A multifunctional sports field was created in the center of the village, next to the church and is open to the public. Previously, the municipality did not have a facility where sports activities could take place. Residents can practice sports in this place in a safe, disciplined and high-level way. This strengthens the sense of community, which is important for the social and social life of the commune. The multifunctional pitch was put into use in April 2019.
Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary behind Kýčera
This chapel is located next to the bicycle station behind Kýčera. It was built in 1992. On the north side of the chapel is visible Babia Góra (1723 m), which dominates the Orava Beskydy. Every year in September, on the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, harvest festivals are held here, in which hundreds of people come not only from our town, but also from neighboring municipalities actively participate.
